چکیده
Rice is the major staple food in Jharkhand India and threatened by various biotic abiotic stresses. Among insect pests that imperil rice cultivation Jharkhand, yellow stem borer (Scirpophaga incertulas Wlk.) one of most notorious ones. The present investigation was conducted Kharif 2018 to study bioefficacy certain chemical insecticidal treatments against borers measured terms mean values dead heart (% DH) white ear (%WE). Ten treatments, namely, T1 - Flubendiamide 240 SC + Thiacloprid (combination product) @ 200 ml/ha, T2 250 T3 Imidacloprid 17.8 SL @150 T4 480 50 T5 Rynaxypyr 20 T6 Fipronil 80 WG 65 g/ha, T7 Dinotefuran SG T8 0.3 GR followed Chlorpyriphos EC @2000 T9 EC@ 2000 ml/ha T10 untreated control were taken for experiment. results showed two treatments, namely T2- flubendiamide thiacloprid (2.07% DH 2.30% WE) (1.89% 2.49% WE), at par with each other. They performed better than all other suggesting using these newer could provide all-around protection crop both ear.

Assessment of Yield Loss in Rice due to Yellow Stem Borer, Scirpophaga incertulas, Using Simulation Models
The yield loss simulation (YLS) and the MACROS LIQ.CSM models were used to simulate the effect of stem borer damage at a detillering rate of 5, 15, 30, 60% at vegetative, panicle initiation and grain filing stages, on yield of rice cultivar?s Ratna. This stem borer damage during vegetative and panicle initiation stages was not simulated appropriately by both the models. Relatively MACROS simul...

متن کاملSilencing of CYP6 and APN Genes Affects the Growth and Development of Rice Yellow Stem Borer, Scirpophaga incertulas
RNAi is a powerful tool to target the insect genes involved in host-pest interactions. Key insect genes are the choice for silencing to achieve pest derived resistance where resistance genes are not available in gene pool of host plant. In this study, an attempt was made to determine the effect of dsRNA designed from two genes Cytochrome P450 derivative (CYP6) and Aminopeptidase N (APN) of rice...
متن کاملRNA-seq of Rice Yellow Stem Borer Scirpophaga incertulas Reveals Molecular Insights During Four Larval Developmental Stages
The yellow stem borer (YSB), Scirpophaga incertulas, is a prominent pest in rice cultivation causing serious yield losses. The larval stage is an important stage in YSB, responsible for maximum infestation. However, limited knowledge exists on the biology and mechanisms underlying the growth and differentiation of YSB. To understand and identify the genes involved in YSB development and infesta...
متن کاملNatural Variation among Rice Yellow Stem Borer, Scirpophaga incertulas (Walker) and Rice Leaffolder, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Guenee) Populations to Bacillus thuringiensis δ-endotoxins
Natural variability in susceptibility of field collected rice yellow stem borer (Scirpophaga incertulas) and rice leaffolder (Cnaphalocrocis medinalis) to Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) δ-endotoxins was investigated to establish a geographic baseline for comparison of future population responses to the increased use of Bt based insect control products like Bt transgenic rice and commercial formula...
